I'm insanely jealous now. Never seen 'em in concert, much to my chagrin. Great recap.

Dude -- I actually didn't buy tickets to this show because last time I saw them (2005), they didn't play a single song I knew. This time you just listed nearly all my favorites. Dammit!

Want to hook a gal up with some of their newer stuff?
SHIT! They had the horns with them?!?! SHIT SHIT SHIT. GADDAMMIT.

My anniversary present to Paul was not throwing a complete and total hissy-fit-tantrum when he said, "I really, really don't want to go." We had a lovely evening.

...and I procured a ticket to the Anaheim show on Friday.

I myself may have seen them a few times with the first being 19 (!!!) years ago.

Glad you had a great time.

Whoa! You saw them 19 years ago? That's pretty amazing.

You did the right thing by yo' man, not dragging him to a TMBG concert against his will on your anniversary and all. Perhaps the horns will be at Anaheim as well.

"I'll bet if you did a proper study, you'd find that the average child born in any given city nine months after TMBG plays there is smarter and/or has less social skills." - hahah

I've seen TMBG a handful of times (read: < 20 ). Loved the "Exquisite Dead Guy" puppets, enjoyed hearing Flansburg tell the audience to "fucking conga," and, like you, love every version of "She's An Angel," but hearing any song with a full band would be incredible. I just met you, and already I'm burning with jealousy. Good show, sir. Good show.

Oh man... I forgot about the puppets! They did that shit for like half an hour when I saw them in Vegas in '99 or so.
I wasn't lucky enough to get them any longer than for the song, although I can't imagine what they would do for 25 more minutes. It's pretty creepy, all things considered hahah.
I love it when Flans curses.

And I believe they gave those puppets away in a contest. I didn't win.
